Wedding Dresses...

Learn how to select the best wedding dress for your body type and personal style. Of course you want to look your best for your wedding day. I say your look starts with your wedding dress.

The first thing you need to do... look in the mirror. Your fiancee fell in love with who you are and how you look so ... relax. Next, you need to take an objective look to really see what body type you have. I'd like to think that I'm 5'9" but I see a different reality in the mirror.

Wedding dresses come in a variety of styles for a reason.

The manufacturers WANT you to look your best on your wedding day.

Like any other dress, you need to figure out what body type you have now. Body shapes are pretty simple. Start by asking your best friend to take a constructive look at your shape and ask for her help in determining which body shape you have.

The body shapes are as follows:

Pear shape - You have a pear shape if your upper body is smaller than your lower body. Some ladies get a little bit larger at the waist and through the hip area. If you want to look thinner you will want to find a dress that puts more of the focus on your upper body and your face.

Curvy full figure - You have this body type if your measurements are such that your bust is larger than your waist. You will need to be careful in selecting a dress that is not too low cut or too poofy.

Boyish figure - You have a straight type figure. Smallish chest, hardly a waist and small hips. You will need to look for a dress that helps you achieve a femenine look. Try on a form fitting dress and see how it looks on you.
